Hojo Akira, Syn (part 2 of 4)
May. 12th, 2004 03:13 amWent to see Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind tonight. Thus having been put into the mood for utter-wacko-bizarreness-in-the-name-of-luuurve, translated the second chunk of "Syn" (while playing the Eternal Sunshine Theme over and over. See, Tofuya d00d swore everyone had to download it because one would want to listen to it after the movie, and so I did, and I do! It's the new Amélie waltz! A winner is me!). ...Uh, anyway, doujinshi.

In which Tezuka and Fuji have a combined emotional quotient of LESS THAN NIL, but wanting to violently shake the characters is part of the joy of reading manga and doujinshi. No, really, keep telling yourself that. XD And yes, Tezuka's elbow - this dj is AU for any number of reasons, not least because it came out in winter 2002, but they're talking about how he stress-injured his arm the year before. And it does indeed get weirder. By this point you should begin to apprehend why I have a twisted fondness for "Syn", as it's utter angst most of the way through but I can't stop laughing. ...It's less painful if you take it as METAPHOR, I swear. I mean, this is basically what Fuji tries to do in 218-219, right? Only not so much with the LITERAL METHOD ACTING?
Maybe one day Hojo Akira will write a dj in which Fuji deliberately erases all his memories of Te-OH WAIT SHE'S DONE THAT PLOT ALREADY. SILLY ME.

Date: 2004-05-12 12:57 am (UTC)*stares* .... Syn gets wierder and wierder. AH. THE ANGST. @_@
This continues to confirm the idea what Konomi reads Akira Hojo, y0.

Out of the ones I've read, "Syn" isn't even the one that's most like Konomi's take. But extrapolation-of-characterisation something Hojo Akira does creepily well in general - wait 'til I start on "Neo Venus" and you see how she had Atobe pinned before he'd shown up in canon more than twice.
