I hate everyone who uses stolen HP fanart as livejournal icons. On principle.

(If I have to writhe in misery from not giving in to the temptation, and writhe in guilt simply for thinking about it as much as I do, then all of you should have to writhe in guilt and misery too. Damn j00.)

it doesn't count as stolen if someone's given it to you, though. perhaps you ought to solicit someone to do some for you...?
or perhaps do some yourself, if you feel like sharing that particular Fruit Of Your Hands with the world?

Oh, 'course if someone gives it to you... Some of them obviously don't, though. As in, "hey, that picture comes from a site that I distinctly remember saying DON'T TAKE MY ART YOU TALENTLESS AMERICAN TURDS." -_-

Gah. I don't want the artists to have to take down their sites or put them under password, like it's too much to ask the world to demonstrate my own sterling level of self-restraint. XD I don't desire'em for icons - no, seriously, how often do you see me change my icon? - but blog layouts, all the freakin' time.
