So lately I've been listening to New Order's Get Ready - like, oh, every single other person on the planet simultaneously. (The other day I walked into Burnside Hall basement with '60 Miles An Hour' playing on my discman and found Ced streaming 'Someone Like You' from the CSUS server. ...Okay, I was the one who gave him those MP3s. And it turned out he'd been to see 24HPP that day based on my bl0gsl0rage. But still. ^^;) This makes me want to write IniD fic. Do not ask why this is. It is. I can listen to move for days at a time - and have - without being saddled with so much as half a dried plotrabbit foot. The Latin dance remixes recently up on Jikan no Hizumi made me think a few amused thoughts about pineapples and surfboards, and that's about it.

Music gremlin is sure that 'Vicious Streak' is Ryousuke. Not sure why, apart from chronological coincidence. It just is.

'sfunny, cos i ended up hearing an awful lot of Get Ready as soundtrack for "Snitch!", actually. this is because i have Problems, however. i know. XD

i can sorta see "Vicious Streak" working that way. although i can never really look at the title of that song again without giggling, because someone i know insists on changing the lyric to "i've got a vicious streak...in my underwear." XD

which, of course, only gets better when i consider a nice typo made by a friend of mine which turned it into "Vicious Steak"... XXD

eeee.

Oh, sure, ruin it for me. XD

I very much suspect my soundtrack for "Snitch!" is comprised of a bucketload of late '80s Pet Shop Boys. I'd have to re-read it to be sure, but I've been getting these flashes. XD

why does that have to ruin it for you, necessarily? *beams innocently*

although a lot of it ended up on my soundtrack, it's nowhere near being the whole thing. i can give you a whole list if you'd like. ^^

Oh, do. XD

My stereo pulls that song every time I tried to write a smut scene over this weekend. It's e-vile.

'kay, here goes...

60 Miles an Hour---New Order (Snitch!)
Car Song---Elastica (Snitch!)
Love less---New Order (Snitch!)
Turn My Way---New Order (Snitch!)
Your Arse, My Place---Elastica (Snitch!)
Stutter---Elastica (Snitch!)
Hold Me Now---Elastica (Snitch!)
Vaseline---Elastica (Snitch!)
Sugar Ray---The Jesus & Mary Chain (Snitch!)
The Perfect Kiss---New Order (Snitch!)
Drive You Home---Garbage (Snitch!)
Run Wild---New Order (The Dog & Drainpipe)

this was actually part of a larger soundtrack idea...Fi and i traded awhile ago on the grand premise of Draco x Harry fic. therefore, that's only the Snitch! section, and i s'pose i was confused about where i'd put "Vicious Streak"...i actually had that down for "Protective Bonds," and to be honest, i can't even remember the story itself that well. hrrm. oh well. XD

but yes, yes...'tis indeed quite e-vile. >D

Is it odd that I'm not particularly fond of Get Ready? It's a good album, but I'm just like too little too late? ^^

I wouldn't know if it's odd, I'm not what you'd call an old-time fan. (I'm not an old-time fan of *anything*. I haven't been listening to music long enough. ^^;) I more or less backtracked through the NO oeuvre: apart from the really ubiquitous singles that I heard on the dancefloor, Get Ready was the first album I listened to. It was good enough to reel me in, anyway.

I'm not really an old time fan in the grand scheme of things. For one thing, I'm just too young. And I don't own all the albums. (Atrocious, I know.) I've discussed this with other fans, and some like it cos it harkens to NO's more rock-esque days. I admit that I prefer their less rock-esque songs, so I'm biased, but it seems a little cheap to go back to one's roots. XD I'm rather fond of Technique. Tight album. And of course, Power, Corruption and Lies is quite the album, but no need to beat a dead bush.

And I realised that if I were wearing my glasses, it would be a row of Asian women with glasses. *dons a pink t-shirt for good measure* XD

Oh, I haven't got all the albums either. Not enough money. ^^; I like a band with a back catalogue, though: gives me something to look forward to.

(I'll get all of New Order's albums! Then I'll get all of Joy Division's albums! Then... then I'll get all the Pet Shop Boys albums! And the one in which Barney Sumner and Neil Tennant sing together! *keels over and dies*)

I'm not actually wearing my fuzzy purple top anymore. My sister stole it, the wretch. XD

That's when you know...

you're a real New Order fan. When you start buying their side projects. Ahh, Electronic. I too have made a Draco soundtrack (it's all Janni's fault, 3v33l music h0, j0!) and I put Electronic's The Patience of a Saint on it, cos the combo of Barney and Neil is just Too Much.

Yesh, my brothers rarely try stealing my clothes. Ignoring the fact that they are both larger (and taller) than I am, if I were to offer to lend them my black dresses and red and pink shoes, I think they'd be highly disturbed. Of course, this would all fit into my scheme to switch them over to the ghei side, so....*^_^*
