All right, I have to ask: anyone using Winamp 3.0 yet? Nifty, annoying? Should I bother?

(And has anyone noticed that the beginning of this song sounds exactly like the Midgar walkabout music? I mean, not that it's a shock or anything, but.)

Saw this on my 'friendsfriends' page...

I downloaded 3.0 a while ago and was ultimately disappointed. It has a nifty cross-fading feature (so songs blend together radio-style), but it's also very slow and buggy. They made some changes that really weren't necessary. Unless they correct these things, I'll be sticking with 2.x and/or looking for a new mp3 player.

Ah, all right then, probably not worth it for me. ^_^ I was thinking, you see, that I didn't particularly care for freeform skins anyway; one thing I liked about Winamp was that it was compact and rectangular. I also like the non-necessity of making up a playlist for everything, being the reason why all other music players get on my nerves.

Hahaha! Ah, Sabina, welcome to the dark side. A Manc are j0~! (Although, you are the one who said Mamc was the proper term, oui?)

Well, it's 'Mancunian' in English, right enough. It's just I always thought that was because Manchester in Latin was something like Mancunia or Mancunium, and it wasn't. So now I have no idea why it's like that. :/

Unless this is one of those weird rules. Except I doubt residents of Winchester are called 'Wincunians', say.

Winamp 3 pissed me off mightily. It took me three days, during which I actually used Winamp very little, to get sick and tired of the way it does playlists. Fortunately, the latest version of winamp2 is still available for download, AND it has the nifty crossfade feature.

Er, in 2.80, you mean? I don't think it does crossfades - at least, I can't get it to do crossfades. ^^;
