petroniaWhen I posted links to FFX fanart, it was in livejournal, so livejournal it is for this as well. I'm probably the only person who cares about FSS (Thea? Suze? maybe?), but if I talk loud enough and stubbornly enough and post enough art, maybe I can get someone else to read it. It works for Priya. :P And as I never tire of saying, the damned thing *is* available in English. Only through the Kino, true, but the Kino takes email orders. It's what my cross-street neighbour is doing.
As a result of my sl0ring, of course.
First of all, if you read Japanese, fssdp.com is static but a naisu resource. (Though there's not a lot of series that force fans to resort to MySQL/PHP3 to keep it all straight. ^^;) Even if you don't read Japanese, go take a brief look at it for being a pretty site of the validates-in-strict-HTML variety.
Site of a FSS-only event they held in March. I always think - though I don't know if it's true - that FSS is one of those series that's unhealthy for cosplayers: everything is elaborate enough to give one ulcers, and about half of it can only be pulled off by anorexics. (Even mechs wear stiletto heels in Naganoverse.) They do try, though. And I covet that card set.
Keikado is too pretty for words. Several artists are involved, including one whose style is rather Watase-esque - she makes Leigh Ex look vaguely like Ceres, and Amaterasu merely like his bishie self. And this is a loverly pic of Kaien and Auxo. (Tried explaining Douglas Kaien to Tania the other day, in shorthand. "Picture," I said, "a cross between Youji and Hiko. Now give him the best dominant alleles known to man.")
Clotho+Atropos circa 4100. I know it's Colus VI and Uppandora in the background, but only because I remember the dates. ^^;
Shaft and Parthenon. You know Parthenon. She's the ghetto sista Ballanche fatima who says fuck a lot. There's only one.
Heika-sama and Lachesis, in what sure as heck looks to me like Fruits Basket style. (The mind...)
Specter the Jester and his nutty fatima, pose from One Piece. (it boggles...)
This dude does art in a realistic style reminiscent of newfangled game designs like FF8. Mostly the girls. His version of Jabo, Kyo, Megaera (I love Megaera, personally), even Ladious Focuslight who's a pretty minor character.
Dr. Ballanche and Girl!Sopp, by someone who appears to think that's a canon pairing. (Err...)

Kaien and Princess Mugumika, emphasizing the latter's tendency to look as if she wandered in from J. K. Rowlings. If I told you that was Sirius and Hermione you might believe me.
Jabo's terrible twins (Magdall and Dupre) by this dude, looking just as illegally cute as they do in the books. Most powerful characters after the Fates, by the way.

Uppandora and Atropos. Atropos and Uppandora. I feel like less of a freak for being obsessively interested by them, because the Japanese fen do me one better by shipping them. (Talk about fandom masochism.) This is what happens when the mangaka tells you *what* happens in a footnote, but not why and wherefore.
