Doctor Who S06E10 The Girl Who Waited (and S06E09 while I'm at it)

SEE, I WAS NOT ASKING FOR TOO MUCH, HERE. It can be done, and it can be done well. Karen Gillan was absolutely amazing; it makes one realize how little range she's actually given in most episodes.

The Gatiss ep was really good too IMO (have to say I didn't see the twist coming). Just as well because I was this close to giving up on the show, no lie. XD;

The Gatiss ep left me completely underwhelmed (and a little relieved that it wasn't really scary, after all) and made me want to give up on the season, though the dad was great (then again, s6 has a lot of excellent supporting characters, WHY DON'T ANY OF THEM STICK AROUND SADFACE SADFACE) and the fact that Rory just put Hitler in a cupboard in the previous episode was pretty hilarious, idk.

I agree w/ Girl Who Waited! It's like that moment in BBC Merlin where I realized, "oh, so Bradley James is an actor, after all". Even though her (old Amy) fight scenes made me LOL.

I was told that the Gatiss ep was originally meant for the first half of the season so kept in mind to expect no character development. XD; I liked it way more than the pirates one, anyway, which was the other "Doctor Who as it's meant for kiddies" episode.
