I listened to the Kills several years ago, nodded, liked 'em well enough, put them aside. I like "Black Balloon" a lot more than I remember liking them then.

As for thinking "that could be me up there" with the blokes onstage, this whole early segment of your blip-FM feels very early '80s (disregarding when the music was actually made), when I was in my late twenties and playing in bands like this. Reminds me of mixtapes that people would make for me.

That's about my experience with the Kills too. This last album of theirs seems to have been their breakout, and perhaps rightly (as opposed to, because guitarist dude is dating Kate Moss).
