In Venice, the internets are free

My hotel is directly in front of the S. Zaccaria vaporetto stop, which is about 100m from Piazza S. Marco. The first thing I see when I walk out the door is S. Giorgio Maggiore and its clock tower, which I'm starting to realize is a ridiculous location for all those goings-on in JoJo (though no better or worse than, say, Cape Canaveral). Checked in at 10:15PM, went to the restaurant next door, ate a spaghetti alla vongole and a tiramisù and drank Chianti until I saw two clock towers. That's pretty much it for tonight.

More later and in postcards no doubt, now I'm going to bed. XD

I have to ask - is it flooding there right now? I ruined a pair of shoes in S. Marco.

It's not, but it gets a bit puddly at high tide - just enough to make pretty reflections. ^^;
