Perfunctory entry
Aug. 2nd, 2006 07:06 pmI've been blogging nothing but fic and batches of mp3s. To be honest I've been doing nothing much but writing fic and working on the next issue of SSBB. Somehow I feel that this should not engender complaints. XD
Have had a sort of unintentional FF7 matsuri in the past week - rereading my own fic, other people's fic, etc. - culminating on Friday night with an actual playthrough of the beginning of FF7, up to Aeris's house (Tania wanted to see what the plot was like). All I could think was:
1) This is so much better written than Advent Children.
2) I could die happy if I never saw the inside of a mako reactor again.
And then, in the SSBB submission pile - but you'll have to see it in order to believe it. *uncertain hearts*

Rentboy!Reno TGIF special: chug two Coronas before 3PM, then read this. I promise it helps. To paraphrase the protagonist of HERO [1], if you have a pile of fics and manage to get through all of them, you can still dig down to the bottom of the pile and read the first one again. By then you'll have forgotten and it'll be just like new!
...In retrospect if the Bishink fanons have a fault it's sentimentality, sugary like the alcoholic drinks of recurring trope, but Tenshi and Joy are "fixers" where I'm typically not. I'm not much for complaining about unfulfilled goals that weren't in the mission statement to begin with. *g*

More randomous Reno pr0n (it's Rude/Reno this time). Because... why the heck not? It's very well written and I don't see anyone complaining. XD
The Daughters and Children of Mara, by

Not FF7 at all (XXXHolic, written for Tin's Amanuensis Challenge), but I said the next time I recced fic I'd have to link this one or bust for reason of sheer awesome, so. It works better if you know the series - or have thought about the series - but no real spoilers.
[1] If you are not already reading this, you are totally living under a rock. Or just completely out of touch with everyone else who happens to be on my flist, or something. *g*
