Thanks for finally clearing up the question of Renji's transfer, KT! Though I sort of wonder what Byakuya was thinking - I suppose there simply wasn't anyone strong enough within the 6th itself to promote? Seeing as the VC is normally X times as strong as the third seat and the captain X times stronger than the VC, they might find it necessary to cast around for talent anytime one of the top positions open up. It occurs to me that Iba followed the same career path. I suppose by now it's common knowledge among the 13 squads that the organizational structure in the 11th is FUBAR, what with the essentially captain-level dude refusing to be budged from third seat, the lack of a fourth seat because said officer would rather be fifth for aesthetic reasons, etc. It could well be a truism that anyone who makes it to sixth seat in the 11th division is overdue for promotion and a transfer. XD;;

I have career paths on the brain. =__= Why oh why are my books not coming? Sometime next week no doubt.

There are concept sketches of young Renji, Gin, Yamamoto, and Yoruichi. Renji I get, but when did the other ones come in? Did I miss a flashback?

...Do you mean Matsumoto? XD In which case yes, there is a flashback of Gin and Rangiku when they were kids (about pre-teens). There is also a very brief flashback of Yoruichi when she was younger, maybe a teenager, with Urahara.

And several people I know successfully predicted the Isshin/Ryuuken thing, since Isshin was seen calling the major hospital in Karakura, and Ryuuken is the director of a major hospital. XD
