Sometimes I'm reminded that I met these people in anime club

Andrew: The other day Shawn, me and this other buddy of ours sat down and watched a lot of Bleach.
Sabina: Bleach? Oh hey, cool, I love Bl--
Andrew: WHAT'S WITH ALL THE GAY SHIT?
Sabina: ...What?
Andrew: Why is everyone in it gay?
Sabina: Um, everyone in it is not gay.
Andrew: They so are! That guy with the cape, what the hell was that?
Sabina: ...
*Shawn wanders into kitchen, looking interested*
Shawn: When he pulled out that extra cape--
Andrew: I was like what the hell is this, a rescue mission or a fashion show?
Shawn: I thought the shape of his ki aura was pretty vaginal.
Sabina: ......Oh, well, Ishida, he--
Andrew: And that girl! Whatshername who's always like OH I ADORE YOU PRINCESS.
Sabina: Chizuru? Okay, granted, Chizuru's--
Andrew: AND THE MAIN CHARACTER.
Sabina: ...
Shawn: I don't think Ichigo's gay. He's just a bit asexual. Like he doesn't seem very interested in women in general.
Sabina: ......
Andrew: Except the girl they're trying to rescue! But she just has to be a death god, and they're all assholes.
Sabina: .........
Shawn: But she has no breasts. Funny how that works.
Sabina: ............So uh, where are you up to in the series?
Andrew: The sister of the guy just blew them into the city. That is a really big phallic metaphor, by the way.
Sabina: Uhuh.
Andrew: That was like, "If I had a penis, this is what it would look like." Then they meet these psychos and the guy does a retarded dance. Are those two gay or what?

It was later determined Andrew is down with Renji and hates Byakuya**, to the surprise of absolutely no one. I told him he hasn't even begun to conceive of hating Byakuya, the best is yet to come.


** Not for being gay, which is a status that does not actually bother Andrew any (the way he would put it is "I do watch anime, you know"), but for being a snooty aristocrat.

There was actually a lot of other stuff about veiled social critique of feudal Japan and whatnot. XD And I was told that my zanpakutou would definitely be whip-shaped. o_O;

But will the love for I-have-more-issue-than-Freud-could-ever-dream-of!Byakuya find a place in Andrew's heart at the end of the soul society arc ?
And will the gay diagnostic be confirmed by Ichigo refusing to see Yoruichi in her full naked glory ?

I can't wait for him to read/watch more of bleach ^^ his commentaries are very amusing

Andrew will never like Byakuya. XD Byakuya is the opposite of everything he stands for. He's a snotty aristocrat who would rather uphold impersonal law than save one of his own, plus he fights with pink sakura petals.

I also want him to watch more of Bleach, because I could swear I have actually heard some of Renji, Chad and Ichigo's lines come out of this boy's mouth, so it should be interesting.

Also, how come you are surrounded by Byakuya-haters/-mockers? It is UNFAIR. I would dearly love to find some more here, where people swing for either Renji or Byakuya, to the consternation of this Zaraki fan.

Ha, half the reason I mock Byakuya is because I've known this Andrew dude for so long I pratically channel his personality when I watch shounen anime, and in a lot of ways he is Ichigo. XD Like, if you had told me he scripted some of Chad or Ichigo's lines I would not have been surprised. (How well he lives up to those ideals is a different question, but at least he gets points for effort.)

If the next time I go back there they're having a fight over IchiRuki vs RenRuki, I'm going to laugh and laugh.
