The other three tracks to fill out the meme. (By which I mean I just wanted to throw up the Belle & Sebastian track so Cedric will see it when he wakes up, har.)
Belle & Sebastian - Another Sunny Day: album due in January has leaked. It is shiny, as in BeruSeba goschaffel glam rock - add to that a dash of soul and a touch of country, or at least a whole bunch of twangy guitars carrying twee-pop melody on burly shoulders. By the second half it starts to more resemble what one imagines a Belle & Sebastian album to be, but by then the damage is done... I really do like it. XD I think "Another Sunny Day" should've been the single; how shocking could it be after "Your Cover's Blown" anyway?
Mylo - Drop the Pressure (Rex the Dog Remix): I like this much better than the original. It's just... more sonically interesting, I guess. There's a part in the original where the vocoded vocals get distorted into this high bit not actually sung, that in the remix is grafted onto a whole 'nother contrapuntal thing tortured out of a cell phone, or so it seems to me.
Plus is this not the cutest DJ picture ever? Ahaha.
Suga Shikao - June: debated uploading "Arcade" from Time as it's a good example of how Suga Shikao sometimes lays an actual Spitz-like track, but went with "June" after all. One thing Suga Shikao and Spitz do have in common - being not at all similar in certain key areas - is that the majority of their songs seem to be about small-town life, or from a small-town perspective.
