Sometimes I think I don't get enough sleep because I'm terrified of how productive I can be when I'm fully awake, i.e. how my sister and the other members of the Order of Overachieving Asian operate all the time. Not to beat around the bush, 'tis inhuman.
Nevertheless: today has been productive, and last night even more so. But first some dumb happy dancepop, because that stuff never goes wrong.
Koda Kumi - Real Emotion (DJ MSK Remix)
Lady Yuna in the (handbag) house! No, really, this is far better than the original, and it helps even more if you picture Brother jazzing up a storm on the Latin piano.
Smile.dk - Comme ci comme ça
Smile.dk - Happy In Love
Smile.dk - This Is The Time (Eoo Eoo)
Works like a drug, doesn't it? If it turns out Smile.dk have not at some point made a music video involving pills with happy faces stamped on the side, I will be terribly disappointed.
Princess China Music Orchestra plays Hamasaki Ayumi - Hanabi
The problem with Twelve Girls Band and their ilk is that this is the logical endpoint. What I can say for this album (I mean, other than expressing principled horror) is that it really doesn't suck as bad as one might expect. I may even prefer some of these arrangements to the originals, though what that says for my relationship with t3h Ayu discography I can't imagine.
