Monday morning music
Apr. 11th, 2005 08:13 pmYuki - Joy
Yuki - Kiss wo shiyou yo
Yuki - Aishiaeba
From her new solo album that Ced bought and ripped in Japan. ^^; I can't help hearing it as Judy And Mary going Jpop (it's like Bis going electro!), mostly because Yuki's voice is distinctive but also because the "affect" of the songs doesn't actually differ much from JAM - not like Tommy february6 versus The Brilliant Green, say. It's happy upbeat pop music. "Joy" is the single AFAIK but I like "Aishiaeba" better, despite/because of the fact that it's a page torn from the early Chara songbook.
Massive Attack - Superpredators
DJ HAZU feat. ILL BOSSTINO - Norainu
Last night I read five volumes of Bleach, somehow staying up til 4AM in the process, and I wish to say this: gee, thanks, Kubo Tite, for your unerring instinct in picking a track off Mezzanine that's a BONUS AVAILABLE ONLY AS THE B-SIDE OF THE 'RISING SON' SINGLE OUTSIDE JAPAN! There I was staring at the tracklisting of an album I have memorized, wondering who was the crazy one, KT or me. Just start an mp3 blog already kthx. :0
Luckily someone else has already done the P2P legwork, i.e. there's a site with mp3s of all the Bleach character songs. However I'm posting here because I expect my flist to be just as lazy as I am, and besides even non-Bleach fans (they do exist) might appreciate a Massive Attack b-side. The second track did turn up on my hard drive; IIRC I gacked it off
jokersama once upon a time. I totally think the lyrics filtered into KT's characterisation of Renji as he looped it in the studio.
Top 50 singles, Japan 1994. What this list appears to tell us is that Slam Dunk was a very popular anime. XD
