Read an exclusive with David Bowie in the Voir weekly this afternoon - he's swung back round for shows in Ottawa and Quebec City. Interviewer had the presence of mind to ask him what he's been listening to lately (they should ask that question more often :/). And what's Bowie been listening to lately?
TV On The Radio, the Lost In Translation OST, and... Supercar.
...
>_> <_< What are the chances? (I know I said I'd post some of their tracks, but I can't decide what to post. ^^; It's one of those albums that really is an album, and not an agglomeration of songs.) Oh, and it turns out it's not my left eye but my right that's gone downhill by .5. Think I'm going to get contacts for daytime as well as a new pair of glasses, because the old pair is scratched up beyond belief.

Date: 2004-04-02 07:43 am (UTC)Softs, I'm thinking. The same kind as my sister has - she wears them during the day, takes them out when she gets home, and they last her a month or so. ...Basically I am very tired of my glasses getting steamed up in the rain, freezing the bridge of my nose in winter, falling off when I dance, and so forth. Also I tried the contacts yesterday and realised that I have not actually had much peripheral vision for the last decade. XD;;

Date: 2004-04-02 08:25 am (UTC)heh, i don't know the exact numbers on my eyes, but i've got a nasty astigmatism in the left and keratoconus in the right. so i ended up with RGPs, which so far have been fine.
i'd really never had good peripheral vision until i got these, actually. now i really think i'll be able to drive and drive well. should go get a permit again and practice so i can finally get my ruddy license~~~!
i used to just not wear my glasses when walking outside when it was cold out, because i could see well enough that i wasn't walking into things and was getting on the correct bus and stuff. things were fuzzy, but i could certainly see better with my messed up natural eyesight than through fogged up glasses. XD and i never really wore them onstage. XD
because i like to nap on the train on the way in in the morning, i usually have my glasses on until i get to work and then put my contacts in while here. that way, i get more use out of them anyway, since i can leave them in just about until bedtime. ^^
need sunglasses, though. the only ones i've got now are the kind that attach magnetically to my prescription eyeglasses. there's these MINI sunglasses i want terribly...shall probably pick up in the next month or so before all the summer auto events and such start and i'm left blind when trying to photograph all the gleaming metal...XDXD
