Thumbnail entertainment update: five tankoubon into Hikaru no Go. The art is very pretty. Will probably obtain more later this week. So far... I feel rather sorry for Akira. ^^; Hikaru himself is supremely well-adjusted, with all the empathy and foresight of a typical 11-year-old boy, shall we say. He's not trying to mess with anyone's head, but... well.

Shounen manga. The satisfaction is like that of a romance novel, really.

In other news, QaF UK veddy amusing in that laugh-at-teleroman-foibles sort of way, and Lex's father is obviously the most interesting character in SV.

Speaking of which I just read a critical essay which assured me in passing that "earnest" was the coded euphemism in Oscar Wilde's social circle for what Dave calls "being in the family." Oh very well then, hijack the text for me why don't you, Mr Essayist? -_- No wonder that bloody pun at the end was such a groaner.
