petronia: (music)
(We can post? Good. *taps microphone*)

I would like to inform all and sundry that Momus rocks my overly pretentious metapopmusik bunny socks.

Go here and scroll down until you find a bunch of demos of songs he wrote for Kahimi Karie - sort of medieval fuzzy-electro prog-pop. Like Bohemian Rhapsody but a few centuries earlier, if that makes sense. The finished versions are on one of her albums, no doubt lushly produced; you can quite picture them in Kahimi's wispy-lolita voice - not to mention they'd make more sense that way - but I like Momus's versions just as well. :D

Well he's my king, baby, he's my prize
The most eligible married man alive
He's so great, and I know my fate
The seventh wife of Henry VIII

Catherine of Aragon could only bear daughters
Anne Boleyn she went in like a heifer to the slaughter
Anne of Cleves was a German bore
Catherine Howard a total whore
He had a son with Jane Seymour
You're history, Catherine Parr
You've all had your time
Heads off, he's mine!

...'My Sperm Is Not Your Enemy' rather troubles me, though.
