I've been adding people to ye olde friends list, here and there to keep up a decent message flow, since most everyone I know posts less and less as times goes by. (Just an observation, not a screaming demand to be entertained at all costs. Yet. XD) So far I have not added anyone who makes repeated mentions of Justin Timberlake. I am, however, reconsidering this particular ground rule, because am beginning to realise - shiveringly - that it takes in a lot of people. Rescinding will allow me to add a bunch of otherwise upstanding and intelligent ljers, and a couple of favorite ficcers.

OTOH, this wasn't a rule born of snobbishness. This was a sanity-saving measure.

The Japanese HP webring I'm browsing through has a warning on the front page, kindly and cheerfully informing grade schoolers below the age of 12 that the following are sites that adult women have made to amuse themselves, and thus contain quite a bit of subject matter unsuitable for children - but not to worry because they could always come back and visit after they get into high school, ne.

Nice of them. Gives the kids something to look forward to besides exams.

Though the thing is, you never end up reading HP dj if you go surfing for HP dj. You end up reading things like the GinEiDen version of Patariro instead. Ow, my retinas. What keeps me going is the deadly curiosity as to who in Legend of Galactic Heros is the possible equivalent of Maraich. Already I have the horrible feeling that Oberstein is going to end up as Bancoran. It makes half-sense, going laterally by seiyuu.
