Now, every time I see Steven Cojocaru on the telly - and I'd like to point out FTR that I hadn't even known this guy's name until tonight - I throw my hands up and opine, "Where do they go to find these people? Where?" The answer, it turns out, is right at home. -___-; There's every likelihood my mum's fought his mum over the last bag of bagels in Cavendish Mall.

He went to Wagar. I may have to go and have a good cry.

In other news, I watched American Idol 2 again tonight, in what has become an ongoing nihilist rebellion against the fact that the world is going to hell in a handbasket. It was Country Rock Night - rather, Country By People Who Can't Do Country Night - upon which Simon Cowell was basically unable to conceal an upswell of loathing for his contractual obligations, and I agreed. (I mostly do.) Now I'm down here blasting The Eminem Show, because that's about what it's taking to clear my head.

It occurs to me that I should offer to do something for potential participants in my challenge. ...Fic, or art or something like that. Or lj icons. I** have tons of artsy b&w photobooks of naked muscular men I can iconify (judging from my lj-circle that's about what it would take). Suggestions? ^^;

** Well, to be precise, my dad. But they're there.

eeep. >.<;;;

er, as for whomever wins your challenge...are you going to make it a blanket "winner gets ____" type of thing, or are you going to let the winner choose from a list what to ask of you? ^^

I was thinking I'd do something for everyone who participates, honestly. ^_^; I'm not expecting fifty people, and I don't want to sit here and judge the entries' relative merit. I mean, who died and put *me* in charge?

But yeah, maybe letting the people choose is the best idea at that. ^^

...that makes sense, yes. XD

as for myself, i'd like to participate. we'll see if i can pull something decent out long enough to write it. though i haven't the slightest clue what i'd ask for; i just think it's an entertaining challenge. XD

Well, it doesn't bother him, so I don't see that it should bother me. XD ("You went into a bookstore by yourself and bought these, dad?" "Sure, interesting musculature. Why do you ask?" "...No reason.")

There's about five times as many artbooks of naked women, of course.

always more naked women than men, even though the musculature on the men are always more pronounced and better for studying. *cough* *cough* nothing funny, just studying musculature. but.. but, these women are twigs, what musculature? well, there's the breasts, you see. Oh yes, must study their formations very carfully...

No, actually, the naked women just serve as reference material for neo-classical paintings of naked women. XD (The men get to be statuary and schtuff.) No kidding, but when you're working on an imaginary composition, it's actually hard sometimes to find reference breasts that have the appropriate lighting and are pointing the right way! I've seen my dad sweat over this...

OH GOOD...

I've always despaired when seeing him on TV (glad to see I'm not alone).

And a few weeks ago, had a heart attack (nearly) when I read somewhere that he's from MONTREAL... (I'm on the south shore ^_~)...

Now, when I see him, I just close my eyes in shame -:)

Just a suggestion, and very late at that.

If the prizewinning fic is REALLY REALLY GOOD, you could do them a layout. You have brilliant layouts. ^_^
