The problem I have with AkiHika is that they're both one-kanji names, and interchangeable kanji at that. (I know not this thing you call a life.) And onyomi turns out not to be a good idea. ^^;

...Shouldn't it be Yonha x Suyon? Like, the other way around? (I can really see this one, btw. For whatever reason.)

Ogata is like a free-floating pairing force. It's odd, because he gives off the impression of being a complete pimp without actually doing anything. ...Except inviting young boys to hop into his little red sports car. And dragging them drunkenly back to his hotel bedroom. And slamming them up against walls. And having female 'stress-relievers' in his little black book. Well, okay...

Because in the Japanese version, it's all in katakana...

I know. Thank goodness too, because when I read characters I flash on meaning and not pronunciation, i.e. I mix them up. -_-; Methinks those are the only possible ways of writing 'Hikaru' and 'Akira' in kanji, though. (I get the impression said names are often katakana-ised - Utada Hikaru is also in katakana - do you remember how Sendoh Akira was written?)

Yay for random pairings! I'm totally behind the canonically unsupported pairings in shounen manga, because we're all mad and imagining things left and right anyway, so why not? XD I wanna see how you pull off Yonha x Yashiro, though; they're in proximity for all of 48 hours...

Suyon IMO has gotten rather cute. In his compact fuel-efficient pocket-sized way, of course. *dies* And it's the pillow-attack bit. That sealed it for me.

(BTW, methinks the reason the art is looking shoujo-ish nowadays is due to the detailing. It's something they find time for when they hire more assistants during their run, I imagine: Inoue-sensei takes up crosshatch shading, Obata-sensei elects to start drawing hair à la Yami no Matsuei. >_>)
