Baby diary: 27 weeks 5 days
Jun. 24th, 2019 02:38 pm Alan has now levelled up to "ankle biter." Literally -- he can scoot around the floor on elbows and stomach, pushing off with his toes, and will chew on body parts within reach. Or chair legs, or laptop cords. :P He chases his wooden Hape truck around until it goes under the sofa, or plays at bicycle-kicking a throw pillow up in the air. Sometimes he bumps his head against furniture, of course, but half the time it doesn't even seem to bother him. Hosted my D&D game again and B said if it had been his son at that age he would have reacted a lot more.
(I did put rounded plastic corners on my coffee table, all the same.)
J and I had talked about driving to Ottawa on Canada Day Sunday, but I'm leaning toward cancelling. I would really love to show Alan off to T and her family who haven't seen him since Xmas, but Alan's never been out of the house for more than half a day at a time without melting down, nor in the car for more than 30 minutes. And it's a struggle to keep him hydrated in warm weather. He will drink water out of his sippy cup if he's thirsty, but not enough.
