Happiness is getting an email like this:

>Anyhow, what other series is there you are looking for?
>Gimme some names, it's too much trouble for me to list everything that's
>available.

>^___^< I said, Hellsing, Mirage, Boogiepop, Saiyuuki, Oniisama e and Kaikan. (All of which I've watched the first tape of. *sighs*) We'll see if any of it works out. X TV/OAV and Slam Dunk are nearly mine: God bless digisub. My attitude toward anime acquisition is cribbed in all consciousness from the Way of Tao - patience, go with the flow of things, and sooner or later it falls into my lap with minimal effort on my part. I've already scored the first 20 episodes of Star Ocean EX, and I haven't watched them because I have no time. Ye gods.

Put the word out: if you are a fanartist/doujinshika of any stripe, or if you hang out with fanartists/doujinshika, you must watch Comic Party. They made a telly series about you, only now you have really big eyes and brightly-coloured hair and squeaky voices! It's worth watching just for the slice-o'-the-Japanese-scene feel, and Taishi. I blew quite a few brain cells trying to figure out whom Taishi reminded me of, until it finally came to me: he's what I'm convinced Ikuhara Kunihiko was like in high school.

I still can't get over Honoo no Mirage. It gives me the same vibe as the first tankoubon of Angel Sanctuary did - that warm-and-fuzzy 'this was made to lovingly commemorate my existence' feel. *sings* Come to me, incomprehensibly-translated Chinese editions... come to meeeee......

I've got Hellsing 1-12 on my ftp server at the moment (which I'm actually pimping out to another Shiouler), and I may have 13 lying around here /somewhere/.

Want the public infodump ftp password for sentai?

It'd be nice if you could upload Star Ocean EX 13+ in return, but non-essential.

Sadly, I have none of the other stuff except for Oniisama (VHS) and Boogiepop (the sole American DVD).

Ooooh, Chinese editions. *poing!*

Deal is that I'm on dial-up, and my hard drive's rapidly approaching max capacity, so I have to get other people to do the downloading/burning for me one way or the other. -_-; Although I could do the *up*loading to sentai from school, given that I have said eps on CD-R. So yeah, pass me the password (har), anyway.

Chinese edition of the novels, yes. Not that they'd be any easier to get my hands on than the originals, but at least reading them won't be so much of a bitch. (Must check shuku.net.) I foresee this series is going to cause me pain. The last time a fandom caused me to read *novels*, Legend of Galactic Heroes ate two months of my life. And I'm *still* not finished with those books.

There's no digisub version of Oniisama e anyway, and probably none of Boogiepop. Just hope springing eternal over here. T_T

There's an FTP I have access to that has "Brother, Dear Brother" (that's Oniisama e, right?) up to 26 in some avi format. I can't give out the details, though, or the owner will be annoyed. Wow, now that's carrot-dangling.

From reading the summary at Ochiba I gathered it really wasn't my sort of thing. And I'm all tied up with downloading Akazukin Chacha and Hunter x Hunter right now.

Well, Boogiepop is DVD, so presumably there is -- praise be to illicit DVD-ripping, ya?

Ummm... I /think/ I still have your address, somewhere in the bowels of my
RAID. I could burn you a set of Hellsing, if you want?

And, uh, anything /else/ you want. I should do up a least of my schwag at some point.
