Not a book club

Speaking of this, actually, would anyone be interested in doing a music appreciation club? Like, pick a theme, everyone contributes 1-2 songs which are uploaded by the maintainer, everyone listens to the resultant "mixtape" and posts their thoughts on the music (regardless of whether they've previously heard it or not). Alternately, pick an album, everyone listens to it, and we talk about it (book club format).

There are a number of games played like this on poptimists but the knowledge base is pretty hardcore there, which is nice and all, but. XD

Well, the themes would probably be voted from member suggestions anyway. XD Following the Poptimists model I'd take out the ID tag for the first round of listening, too, so there are no preconceptions.

Oh, I think what I really meant was "as long as the other members are mellow and not snobbish and won't go out of their way to make me feel lamer than I already do about my taste/expertise/lack thereof." XD;
