I've been watching season 6 of 24? XD; Never seen any of this show to speak of. It's absorbing on a macro level and frustrating on a micro level - or vice-versa, I'm not sure which. It has a lot of the same problems as Death Note for more or less the same reasons, which leaves me wondering if it's possible to construct this type of storyline without generating these issues (characterization and continuity, although they're often one and the same).

AN ACTUAL POST-MUTEK SHOWCASE CONVO:

"So you guys just came for Moderat, basically?"
"Yeah..."
"Yeah, man, it was a great set! Did you really not hear their album?"
"Well, not at all, to be honest - I'd heard Apparat's last album, and the one he did with Ellen Allien, obviously, and I know Modeselektor from the last time that--"
"Oh, yeah, that was a total surprise! I had no idea Modeselektor were going to be there."
"..."
"..."
"What?"

UPON WHICH MASS CONFUSION ENSUED.**

** Who these people are is not important; the main points being 1) Modeselektor and Apparat subscribe to what one might term the racehorse system of collaborative DJ project nomenclature and 2) dude showed up JUST FOR THEM.
