I no rite! The last time I had this "Erm..." reaction was post-HP7 when the Dumbledore-is-gay thing went down. XD; Thing is I'm desultorily following the Brit indie scene (motto: "incest is the best") as a whole so Blur-related news items have been crossing my desk for a year, and their dodginess just skyrocketed. When the NME outed Graham Coxon's internet identity I had to check out the action for reals. LOLarity... The official forum mod was sensible enough to clear out old threads but there was a mad Chinese fan who'd been capping and translating his posts on Douban, so yeah.
I find it fricking awesome that dude's login on his own forum is "tin hat". When I become a rock star my plan is to spam my own fan forum daily, under the username "rabid shipper". KEEP THEM WONDERING.
The major lesson I have learnt from this is that 90% of what comes out of Damon Albarn's mouth has no value whatsoever. XD Also, don't stand too close to the action when a MAJOR PUBLICITY MACHINE rises from dormancy. My eyebrows still feel singed. XD;;
