First lines meme (done out of curiosity)

1) Ban said he didn't believe he and Ginji could've run up a 3,000,000-yen tab at the Honky Tonk, but the fact of it was he had no idea.
2) After things blew over Mista went around with Giorno taking care of unfinished business the others had left behind: flats and possessions, mostly.
3) "I reheated your pizza," said Vincent.
4) The lady by Larsa's side snored gently, in it for the long haul.
5) Moments passed; the dust settled.
6) The boy shuffled the deck twice, slowly, and returned it to his sister.
7) An orphan is the sole survivor of a drowned continent.
8) The first thing I did was wash my hands twice, with soap, scrubbing between my fingers until they reddened - it made no difference, of course, but I felt better for it.
9) The same tune as always: Remus rapped his knuckles against the doorframe.
10) "Poor kid," said the girl named Irene, "he's asleep."
11) A girl says, "Ah—"
12) He wasn't going to dance, and there was nowhere convenient to stand.
13) "I conceive them as tales," said Kishibe Rohan, "about dark forces: whether mundane, supernatural or altogether spiritual, those forces that circumscribe our being and prescribe our actions, the very same that we foolishly believe to be under conscious control... Here is one story. [...]"
14) Picked up Ryousuke and cabbed out to the party Atobe was giving for Yuki Eiri's book launch (3000 yen).

16) "Allow me to outline the situation," Pietro Lampone said, handing me two fingers of Scotch in a cut-crystal glass.
17) Months later most of the palazzo's gardens have been restored.
18) Ah Yueh arrived at the diner that was their agreed-upon meeting place to find Old Lam already ensconced in his usual booth, and a man he had never seen before occupying the seat opposite.
19) Atobe doesn't take people for granted.
20) "Hey," said Renji, "are there fish in this river?"
21) He is hardly unarmed, and his establishment is well-protected.
22) They were a half day's ride ahead of the pack and well into the foothills when Johnny broached the topic, only to encounter stiffer resistance than expected.
23) I have put aside / the pearls you gifted me.
24) She was already waiting when he arrived, leaning against the fountain in the center of the square - framed by water - her hands resting against the fluted lip of the pool.
25) We found a new stand user last week.
My style for writing JoJo really is different. XD And there are a lot of person-says lines, and semicolons. Other than that I dunno. Thoughts?
In other news, as 8tracks allows one to maintain more than one mix per username I think I'll up some of my old FSTs and such. Still prefer muxtape but there's a play count which at least disabuses me of the notion that no one really listens to my stuff. XD;
