2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.

cis gave me H for ♥. That was a while ago. XD; I didn't want this meme to be all "Remember that song? Guess what, it's still pretty great!" but, uh, it is.
Kings of Convenience - Homesick: a song whose musical form is designed to engender nostalgia response in precisely the circumstances described by the lyrics, like "Yesterday Once More" or Röyksopp's remix of "Weak Become Heroes" (feel free to add to the list if you think of any). I mean, "Yesterday Once More" is kind of MINDBLOWINGLY META if you think about it. Isn't it?
Garbage - Hammering in my Head: I only ripped a few mp3s from Version 2.0, thanks to a mindset prevalent during the Stone Age of musicsharing - one only has so much hard drive space, and if I wanted to listen to the songs I didn't like as much I could put the CD on couldn't I? Ha ha. Proof that though I rate the album for its coherent aesthetic (and I never stopped liking the cyberpunk-hottie-with-borderline-personality-disorder thing Shirley Manson has going here), it wasn't how I listened to it at the time. In latter days I wanted to take the bit where she goes "and don't forget that I meant to win / and don't forget your Ventolin", sloooow it down, and run it into Aphex Twin. ♥
The Strokes - Heart in a Cage: sororial unit forbade me to use any songs that started with 'a' or 'the' in this meme, for reasons of lameosity. She also gave me her list, including this track. It is probably my favorite Strokes song, which is as much to say my favorite Strokes riff, since I bear an unreasonable Guitar Hero-engendered grudge toward "Reptilia". (Hey guyz remember when "A Stroke of Genie-us" was CRAZEE REVOLUTIONARY SHIT? I should stop talking like this, it makes me look old. Still, a month ago I walked into Tokyo Bar and the DJ was playing "Supersonic" over a hip-hop breakbeat, and I had to ponder the fact that at one point in time people would've been kind of humourless about that. Which doesn't change the fact that it was crap in execution. ^_^;)
Radiohead - High and Dry: this is actually not an oldie for me. The only Radiohead I can remember hearing during the 90s was "Paranoid Android", which gave me a mental image of Thom Yorke as E.T. near the end of the movie when he was about to die for reasons I've never been able to figure out. LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND TELL ME I'M WRONG. Anyway, I was listening to this in conjunction with "Albion", a mixtape trick I got off a Youtube documentary, during the January thaw of this year - it was late and maybe 10C out, I was running out of Bronfman for coffee or food, and it started to rain - the smell of warm moisture which is a premium at that time of year, and the sensation that if one passed between the raindrops one would arrive in a different country altogether.
Kahimi Karie - Harmony Korine: written by Momus (for those who might be wondering what that means). Was reminded of this due to Youtubing a Cat Power video that was directed by Harmony Korine. XD Ability to namecheck the dude apparently being a marker of hipness/relevancy at the time (Y2K post-Shibuya-kei); not sure who it would be now, but then I just dig neo-bossa with wispy little-Japanese-girl vocals.
