SSBB editing proceeds apace. Using the laptop now but it'll have to be sent to the service center, argh. T's bridal planning party yesterday, followed by bowling. Also managed to finish the Steven Brust novel I'd stopped halfway through for lack of time (Orca); it'd been so long I had to re-read from near the beginning to remind myself of the plot. That one did not provide much escapism from b-school. ^_^; OTOH I didn't expect the revelations in the last twenty pages at all. I thought this shiz was Five Stars Stories-like...

Updated Muxtape with some old favorites - it'll all be taken down any day, though, to be replaced with hip-hop. Am supposed to be doing an mp3 meme too.

LJers Who Know All: can you think of wedding scenes in anime? That preferably do not end with rocks falling and everyone dying? And can be downloaded or otherwise playlisted?

Did Usagi and Mamoru ever manage to get married on camera? They're the only ones I can think of, and I know they got married in the manga, but I'm not sure that bit was ever animated, alas. It was adorable.

Hm, I think there must be more somewhere, out there, but they're not coming to mind - if I think of anything I'll come back here.

MARMALADE BOY! Last episode, Miki and Yuu's parents get married in a sort-of civil ceremony.

KYOU KARA MAOU! Third season has a wedding which is ALMOST Rocks Falls, Everyone dies, but secures a happy ending.

...The other anime (Gundam Seed, Sailor Moon, Detective Conan) all have the ROCKS FALL, EVERYONE DIES mentality.

Hahaah, you got all the way to Orca? I had forgotten that you were reading the Vlad books anyway. I somehow recall you reading the Khaavren novels.

I'm reading Vlad! Although I should probably pick up the second Khaavren novel - I just wanted to get far enough in the one before running ahead with the other. Didn't manage to get up any reviews, is the problem. XD

I think I'm one of the few people who prefers the Vlad novels, but yeah, I should actually finish reading the last Vlad book out, also.

Not anime, but FFXII had one.

Escaflowne: Milerna and Dreyden are married in a very nice ceremony (ep. 20), and the giant airship does not descend until after they kiss.

Robotech/Macross: Max and Miria's went off without a hitch.

The revelations in the last twenty pages of Orca are probably why I liked the book so much. ^_^

I could have sworn Miaka and Tamahome have *some* sort of ceremony but it's been so long... The Yamane Ayano one, though, Ikoku Irokoi Romantan, that should be trackable. XD Will see if I can remember anything else.

Love Hina manga I think ended with a wedding (that involved Naru's dress falling off).
