arboretum's Lucky Star eps but) can someone point me toward episodes 21-26 of Black Lagoon? I stopped getting them at one point, not sure why, and now T and I've run out. Not that we actually spent any time watching anime yesterday as were too busy dressing up like Patrick Wolf** trying to put together suitable costumes for the Halloween parties coming up next weekend, one of which is piratically themed. Come to think of it we could do Revy and Balalaika, if there were a prayer that anyone else would get it (no one will).

Or Kisaragi Honey and Aki Natsuko. XD; I have this embarrassing love for Re: Cutie Honey - should upload the OAV one of these days. It's what I wish people would write for SSBB summer special only they never do. Also it is nearly the ideal cosplay because T gets to wear a pink wig and glitter heart choker and shiz, and I get to do precisely nothing.

T lent me the Music & Lyrics OST. I keep feeling like there ought to be more to say about this movie - from a musicblogging POV - or at least about the songs, which are brilliant. Made me realize what a noisome assumption it is, that 80s pop music is defined by "cheesiness" and therefore any "ironic" parody or homage thereof must be distinguished from the original by its half-assedness. It's weird that it took the makers of a Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore romcom to figure out that hyperrealism is funnier.

I love the Haley Bennett character too. Even more than the obvious Western referents, she looks like the shoujo manga ideal of what an uta-hime ought to be.

I'm pretty conflicted these days because I want to upload all this music but I feel like I should save it for the mix CDs going out. XD;
