Had to split the post due to o'erweening wordiness re: Lindstrøm. ^^;

Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? (Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duke Mix): some of you will note that this was not included in "the motherlode". I kept it back to write about specifically, because it's that good - one of Stuart Price's divine tricks that somehow change the meaning of the song completely, like the TWD remix of "What Else Is There?" Maybe he saves it for Confessions Existentialist Questions on a Dancefloor; this is the closest anyone is going to come to an answer. (11.1MB)

Sometimes I depress myself thinking that this - or Gui Boratto's "Beautiful Life" - is the kind of song New Order ought to be writing, instead of... being split up. Right.

Junior Boys - In The Morning (Hot Chip Remix): speaking of track IDs, this is the sparkly trancey number James Holden used as a palate cleanser at the Nuit Blanche (I'm guessing everyone who was in that room remembers it very, very well). He only played the pretty melodic bit, though, not the part with the odd noises. XD (22.4MB)

Shugo Tokumaru - Young Folks: I told Nat I had a Japanese cover version of this song! It's sung in English though, in a charmingly incomprehensible manner.

The Japanese cover is truly incomprehensible! It's cute, though...it feels slightly drugged.

Woah, the tick-tick-tick at the beginning of that Gwen Stefani remix gives me Hung Up flashbacks :o And totally agreed on the New Order-ness of Mr. Price's remixes.

Ha, it should be the other way around, come to think of it - LAMB came out before Confessions. XD

Oh, and could I trouble you to re-up Cibo Matto's Sugar Water, acoustic version? I can't find ANY of the Super Relax mixes on the inter-net.
