Moar music
Jul. 4th, 2007 05:47 pmHad to split the post due to o'erweening wordiness re: Lindstrøm. ^^;
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? (Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duke Mix): some of you will note that this was not included in "the motherlode". I kept it back to write about specifically, because it's that good - one of Stuart Price's divine tricks that somehow change the meaning of the song completely, like the TWD remix of "What Else Is There?" Maybe he saves it forConfessions Existentialist Questions on a Dancefloor; this is the closest anyone is going to come to an answer. (11.1MB)
Sometimes I depress myself thinking that this - or Gui Boratto's "Beautiful Life" - is the kind of song New Order ought to be writing, instead of... being split up. Right.
Junior Boys - In The Morning (Hot Chip Remix): speaking of track IDs, this is the sparkly trancey number James Holden used as a palate cleanser at the Nuit Blanche (I'm guessing everyone who was in that room remembers it very, very well). He only played the pretty melodic bit, though, not the part with the odd noises. XD (22.4MB)
Shugo Tokumaru - Young Folks: I told Nat I had a Japanese cover version of this song! It's sung in English though, in a charmingly incomprehensible manner.
