smurfmatic's brainchild: a compendium of mini-reviews of Montreal restaurants, organized by metro station. *g* Use the email link at the bottom of the page to contribute; I'll be writing some up myself.
MTL Street
It's finally happened - the Montreal street fashion blog. ♥ Currently I am also rocking the black leggings / knee-high boots look you see on a number of the women, with a long-sleeved dress or miniskirt and layered top, and a hoodie vest. And my beret and headphones; sad to say the headphones have become my best accessory. They totally make every outfit.
What I'm watching: a Japanese documentary on Shizuka Arakawa! It's like an hour and a half long.
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | part 5 | part 6 | part 7 | part 8
There's something ineffably American about American sports coverage, to a Canadian, and this is ineffably Japanese in the same way (apart from the basic "Japanese girl ganbaru-ing to make it good in America!" angle, even). I keep going on about shoujo manga, so. XD I liked the bit where Rudy Galindo draws chalk stick figures of the other skaters. It's in part 7, after the bit where Johnny Weir airs his four Japanese phrases (one of which is "super kawaii!!!" --No joke, he seems talented at languages, even if someone did "mistakenly" teach him feminine forms in French >_>).

Date: 2007-04-29 05:44 am (UTC)I think this is the end for me: American TV freaks me out, Japanese TV seems "normal". Even Johnny Weir seems normal; he's not much different from all the other boys on Japanese TV.
