At least the dessert turned out well. Actually I am now filled with glee at the realisation that pretty much anything can be agar-agared: red bean paste, fruit salad, rose syrup, margaritas... Also yesterday I bought 2 x knee-length A-line skirt from Jacob, in lime and peach, for 10$ each, to match my new lime-coloured sandals. It's going to be a fun summer.

Now you've got the image in my mind of agar plates and the smell of the broth cooling (which actually isn't that bad of a smell). ^^;;;;

Ahaha, when I had to do that sort of thing in CEGEP I was always tempted to eat the jellies! One of the reasons I didn't go into bio/chem was because it seemed too much like cooking, I have this problem with wanting to put things in my mouth. D:

Lab treats

Well...I know that they have made the lab jello shooters before for the parties for TAs...but I've never had one [also mostly since I never TAed a bio lab] The chemical apple pie in HS chemistry was the win though!! :D

The funny thing is that I have a big big hangup about eating anywhere near a lab ^^;;;;;;

Well, actually I would also recommend you to try any one of those pupuserias, or Central American restaurants on the Plateau. It's not Mexican, but quite similar - corn-based, optionally spicy.

:D, I came to the same realisation re: agar-agar last week. I've been walking around thinking "What about lamb jelly!" for days. <333 I'm still amazed by the way it doesn't need refrigeration to set, too.
