Well, maybe some of you are not on
petshopmusic? XD The following are tracks 2-4. Didn't upload track 1 because it sounds exactly like Depeche Mode with Neil Tennant singing over the top and thus weirds me out. XD
Pet Shop Boys - The Sodom and Gomorrah show: the sparklies-est song on the album. "Sun, sex, sin, divine intervention, death, and destruction" - you'll be singing it, and getting looks for singing a lyric like that. XD;; (As occasionally happens with PSB) you get the impression they're aiming for... some form of commentary or other... but the melody is too immediate so it just ends up unironically happy dansudansu.
Pet Shop Boys - I made my excuses and left: big ol' gear switch to quiet angsty ballad. One of the best if not the best song on the album; I like the production, it's nicely understated and not dripping with ZOMG DRAMA. [1]
Pet Shop Boys - Minimal: it isn't. Minimal, that is. XD Best PSB house track since "I don't know what you want..." [2], so you're >:O when it runs out a little past four minutes, only 50 seconds after it kicks up a notch with the New Order-esque bass and the plucked strings. REMIX PLS
[1] *cough*Numb*cough* - actually "Numb" is a pretty good tune, it just... really sounds like Diane Warren, and normally you wouldn't catch Neil Tennant singing a line like "I don't wanna feel this pain no more", so the overall effect is PSB covering Toni Braxton or LeAnn Rimes for reasons of their own. Thus, the other song on the album that weirds me out. XD
[2] Today's opinion, who knows about tomorrow?
