Pretend for a minute that the only contact you have ever had with me is through my fic. We've never exchanged LJ comments or emails, never hung out in chat or on IM, never talked on the phone or met each other at a convention, none of that stuff. The only thing you know about me is the kind of fic I write. Based on the way I write my characters, and the way they speak, think, and behave, what does that say to you about what kind of person I am, my attitudes and opinions about real-life issues?

...I think it works better with/for some ficcers than others. I'm not sure what I'd assume from mine other than that I liked music and desserts. XD

I'm doing an introductory course in Macromedia Flash; in the next couple of weeks I have to storyboard my final project. I'll probably take the opportunity to revamp my website (petronia.net, not the fan schtuff), but I may as well get some practice in while I have access to the university labs, so - does anyone have ideas for stupid fandom-related Flash widgets? XD If it's too complicated I might not be able to get it working, but theoretically I should be able to hack a basic action script.

Hmm. I'd known you from Fushigi Yuugi fics, then TeniPuri, so...

I would think you are a very optimistic person in general. Highly aesthetic with deep appreciation for beauty (your scene compositions just get me every time). Also, I'd think you have a good sense of humor. (I still read your case studies for boys and yaoi when I need cheering up! XD)

I don't know. Your fics are very beautiful to me, so I would think that you are also very beautiful person; I believe that one's writing (and any art) takes on at least some of the shape of one as a person.

May I ask where you found those, in which section? I've been able to find the fics but not any case studies.

In essay section, actually. All Sabina-san's essays are funny, but this one (http://www.kekkai.org/sabina/NnY/nonfiction/hetboy.html) made me totally crack up.

And apologies to Sabina-san for spamming. *bows*

Oh thanks for the link! ^_^ I didn't realize it was linked from the website and not the journal, so I was a bit confused. These essays are very interesting. I liked the one about the laws of anime.

Do author's notes count? This is hard, to seperate out the things I could have known from fic from the things I do know from reading your blog.

You live in a city! You've been to foreign countries on vacation and liked it. You've got well-defined preferences in music, art, and food. You're a college graduate (or currently in college) who has taken more than two intellectual history/philosophy courses or else done a lot of independent reading in these subjects. You identify with quirky, intellectual characters, so you are probably these things yourself. You identify with older siblings so you are probably an older sibling. You write fanfiction (duh) and like (insert series you've written for here); you're a gamer, a shonen fan, and a BL fan.
