Fine, fine, I voted XD I did a quick rundown and I think my philosophy with all soup noodles is to eat the soup and solid bits first and than the soup last, since the soup is inevitably the best part of soup noodles. (Ah, I am so Korean like that.) I will soon leave to sit in a cafe and drink lots of hot beverages and write bad fic. The snow is making me not want to do ANYTHING.

One of these days I will try pho. (I am Vietnamese food-deprived, despite my love of Thai and Indian as well as Chinese and Japanese.) What is it about the broth that would cause people to not bother with it? I'm a fan of broth in general.

MSG? Well, more like ideological really (ex. you are not supposed to eat the lettuce garnish under a dish). XD Cedric told us neither he nor anyone in his family ever drank the broth, and we were like WHAT ALIEN PLANET ARE YOU FROM. Except half of his family is actually from Vietnam, so. The poll.

Well, okay, just tonight, serendip made me think that how I perceive Pho soup is just like how I perceive Ramen instant noodles soup - no matter how good it is, one just shouldn't drink it all! Perhaps with the noodles, and the few sips full of savory guilt.

I have to side with you on this one. XDXDXD I never finish my broth either, 'cos I'm like, "ewww, MSG." One should only consume the broth if it comes up on the spoon with the noodles and meat. XDXDXD

I've never had this particular dish before, but this is how I always eat all manners of soups and noodle bowls. Could you tell me of a place where I could get this sort of Vietnamese pho soup? I'd be very interested in trying it out. ^_^ Btw, the broth isn't supposed to be unhealthy or bad-tasting, is it, if you're not really supposed to eat it?
