Things that never get old: LotR parody animated gifs.

I watched two more episodes of Samurai Champloo, so now I'm at... ep.11. ^^; My problem is that I feel sad to be watching it alone, I think - apart from the lack of subtitles. (But I understand it better now, thanks to all the practice subvocalising Mirage of Blaze.)

Also read the most recent chapters of Sex Pistols (23-25). Yes, between Narnia and Charmed Life. I'd forgotten that more than a single chapter of Sex Pistols at a time makes me feel as if the monkeys took my brain away to flavour banana shakes with. In Saudi Arabia, mpreg is not jokes. Am I to understand that there isn't an English summary online yet?

The parallels with the "OPEC" story in Motoni Modoru's Poison Cherry Drive are ever-so-slightly appalling, but I'm reasonably sure that one was published first. Maybe Motoni invited Kotobuki over to consume reefer pills and watch Lawrence of Arabia.

I thought this was funny - particularly the part where Mylo disses Devendra hard.

[livejournal.com profile] 20_souls pieces I particularly like (but I am only reading off others' rec lists anyway):

The Stories He Could Tell
Chad, by [livejournal.com profile] lacewood.

Counting Clouds
Kenpachi and Yachiru, by [livejournal.com profile] sophiap.

...In fact I find myself going back to reread these, so the links are here for my benefit as much as anyone else's. XD

EDIT -- Also, I am pondering a series of Bleach f00d pr0n stories. I'll pretend the Urahara+Yoruichi tempura one was the first.

Lady Sov wins the internet, seriously. "I think this person is very into their music. I've got mates into this stuff; they wear black clothes."

Andreas Scholl warms my heart. XD

Oh, the iPod swap article is FUN.

Apparrently Andreas Scholl and i both listen to The Soggy Bottom Boys, excellent Bluegrass which Katie Melua mistakes for country ahahaha: "An even worse area for me is country, but there's a track on this iPod I love! I've tried Googling the lyrics, 'In constant sorrow', but I still don't know who it is."

MYLO LISTENS TO OUTKAST, THAT MAKES ME HAPPY! And SNORTSNORTSNORT he said "Deer Hoof."

And I'd read a transcript of Lady Sovereign talking on the phone to a cradit card company or something, that girl has the most bizarre yet strikingly accurate word choices and putdowns: "not all the songs are about death, pestilence, despair. There's some lovey-dovey stuff ... well, not really."
