On principle--

Bleach 206-207. I was paying rapt attention to the plot with only 50% of my brain. The other 50% was like: "Yu...Yumichika? Is that you? I barely recognize you without the... and what are you... dude don't you get hassled in Rukongai dressed like that??"

--No joke, it's kind of sad. And then 207 happened and it was like "KT is out of pages, but when the anime gets to this point it will insert 10 more minutes of necessary setup."

Speaking of out of pages... but the GetBackers post must wait as it is chock-a-block with Special.

Pre-Yumichika was in like two panels in 206, and all I noticed was the lack of feathers? What did I miss?

The pajamas were really what did it. XD One day KT will stop emasculating Renji inventively, but clearly today is not that day.

Yumichika is defined for me by his bafflingly awful taste in accessories! The feathers (does he glue them on every morning?), the neck warmer thing, wasn't he the one who used clips to hold up his school uniform trouser cuffs? Seeing him without stupid accessories and with his hair in an asymetrical cut is just... well. That and 1) I didn't actually expect to see him there in the flashback and 2) he was wearing this flowery kimono thing that makes him look like a girl.

In the back of volume 13 it's explained that Kenpachi gels his hair up every morning, and Yumichika always offers to do it for him but Kenpachi refuses because he doesn't trust Yumichika anywhere near his hair.

I bet people have given up picking on Yumichika's outfit choices a lllongg time ago. Now everyone just takes it in stride. Also, you know, fourth-seat and all, he and his boyfriend would kick their asses. The "school uniform" is merely further evidence of FASHION VICTIMHOOD, I can so see Yumichika holding everyone up while making sure he gets those trouser cuffs just right.

I don't think I told you enough how much I *love* your Feilong (does it bug you when Feilong is spelled as one word and not two? Chrissie and I talked about it before, I'm just curious), because oh mannnnnnn. I love how he's still, you know, Feilong a human monster bred for dominance and cruelty and yet there's such vulnerability in him when it comes to Asami. Speaking of whom, oh youuuuuuu! Asami whose actions say one thing and whose mouth speaks of nothing but what Feilong expects to hear.

Sabinaaaaaaa, seriously man, you must write more of AU of your AU. MUST, I SAY MUUUUUUUUUUSTTTTTTTT! [insert more yelling/begging/pleading/whateveroworks here]

Actually I prefer Feilong spelt as one word. XD It just seems more elegant - not to mention in line with standard fan spellings of other characters like Wufei or Shaoran/Xiaolan. But it is apparently Not Standard Pinyin Romanization *sigh* and I found that I was forced to standardize in Traffic or else it'd become even more apparent that I'm not romanizing his name in HK standard style like the other buttzillion characters. And I can't use HK style, because "Liu Fei Long" is not how it's pronounced in Cantonese.
