Bleach to date

petroniaSat up and read Bleach up to 194, despite the fact that my eyeballs were half falling out of their sockets already and I really should've spent those two hours sleeping. =_= But 195 made for one too many spazzy reaction posts. I'd actually stopped reading after 182, although I glanced at the next couple of chapters. Kubo Tite might not have needed a break after the continual string-jerking of the Soul Society arc, chipper little bastard, but I sure did. Then again of course he's chipper, he wasn't the one being jerked around. I bet Aizen was fresh as a daisy too.
...I thought I'd actually have intelligent comments to make. It's probably the lack of sleep. ...Oh, right, the distinction between Hollow and Shinigami becomes increasingly and interestingly blurred. At the exact boundary between Vizored and Arrancar[1] lies - moral choice, I suppose? Now Aizen will use that jewel thing he got from Rukia tosummon Meteor reverse the flow of energy on Shikoku and establish a kingdom of the dead aw, screw it. I have 193 surreptitiously open, it turned out I'd downloaded a mislabelled copy of 194 somehow but I've got it now. As soon as I see how Ichigo gets his ass kicked again I'll read 195. Don't tell me.
EDIT -- I remember what I wanted to say! I HATE RYUUKENALMOST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLY MORE THAN I USED TO HATE BYAKUYA. Man, KT is really good at making you want to bitchslap the characters you're supposed to want to bitchslap. Wonder what his excuse is, dead wife? HA HA HA
EDIT2 -- Clearly it was too much to expect Soul Society to send people who could actually pass as high school students.
[1] Think it must be this ("to snatch up, to uproot"), KT seems to be on a Spanish kick. Until I'm told otherwise anyway.
Here's a question: not that I think it's remotely likely this would happen, but if they did a big dumb shiny CG movie sequel for Vagrant Story in which a whole bunch of characters turned out to NOT BE DEAD, would the fans be happy or would they, like, weep?

Date: 2005-09-15 10:21 pm (UTC)And to answer the question, I would be so thrilled to see Sydney and Hardin in gorgeous detailed CG like that (and possibly involved in similarly bizarre battle sequences - in fact at one point Sephiroth alighting gently on a higher level with his coat fluttering about his feet reminded me SO MUCH of Sydney in one cut scene) that they could be square dancing and I'd still shell out big bucks to see it.

KT's very good at fleshing out his villains. I like that. I didn't want to bitchslap Aizen until he took off his stylish emo glasses and started wearing hairgel like an asshole.
