Some tracks from said 2CD sampler (Ninja Tune/Big Dada, summer 2005), fairly representative of the sort of thing that was being played. Did I mention they were selling off vinyl? *g* Now have Amon Tobin's Out From Out Where and DJ Vadim's USSR: Art of Listening for 5$ each. Would've bought more except I only had 20$ on me and it would've been impossible to lug around anyhow.

| Piknic Electronik I On Sunday I went to the Ninja Tune edition of Piknic Electronik, i.e. electronica in the park. Seven hours of dnb, techno, disco and Ninja Tune variety hip-hop, plus 2CD sampler, all for the whopping sum of 5$. |

| Piknic Electronik II As the name implies it was mostly a picnic - people sprawled out all over the grass in a several hundred meter radius within earshot of the DJ tent, eating and reading and making merry with friends, though I didn't take any pictures. In the central square there was dancing. |

| Piknic Electronik III As the party revved up, a single cumulonimbus moved in, lone wolf looming over the horizon. |

| Rain I And it started to rain. |

| Rain II The music didn't stop. (The speakers only started fizzing out later.) More people got up and started dancing than left. WET TSHIRT PARTY W00T |

| Rainbow ...And there was a rainbow. They don't shoot beer commercials this good. |

| Rain III Eventually it started sunshowering (kitsune ame), and people started breakdancing. Ced and I left at 6:30PM, when our legs had about given out. |
