Twee-pop on the run
Jul. 11th, 2005 09:23 pmWearing a black t-shirt with white edging I bought in Shanghai in '98, a white skirt I bought in Shanghai in '04, and black velour sandals with white sequins I bought in Chinatown a month ago. All I can think when I catch a glimpse of myself in shop window glass is that I should get an iPod Shuffle to wear around my neck, that would really complete the outfit.
I've been lying low on the downloading/uploading from work front, but today I'm thinking eh, screw that. Got to run, though, so not many files to make up for it.
My Little Airport - Victor, Fly me to Stafford
My Little Airport - My Little Banana
My Little Airport - Faye Wong, About Your Eyebrows (best song title ever, you have to admit)
Chinese indie keyboard twee-pop discovered by
smurfmatic in Hong Kong. (I'm thinking of
moderntime as I write this. XD) Most of the songs on the album are in English, run less than 2:30 and have a title like [name], [quirky question]. The musical etymology is direct. Pretty stuff, though.
(Does anyone want me to upload songs by the artists I saw at Jazz Fest, or... other stuff?)
