Theocracy versus plasma tax for blood pills (at least I think that's what's happening). However the common folk seem to be less mired in the Dark Ages out West, so let's say Rome 1, Byzantium 0.

After due consideration of the artwork: Vatican 0, Empire 1. That's against the Vatican, remember, so we are talking some mighty impressive hats.
GENERAL SEXINESS
*squirms, hangs up a To Be Determined sign* It's unfair, you expect vampires to be sexy but there's something very wrong about the Catholic clergy in these books, and by wrong I mean right.
Conclusion: vampires win. Well, like that was unexpected.
...Have not even touched Rosenkreuz. Rosenkreuz is ALL THAT BUT MORE GERMAN.
(Voice actors. Dietrich and Esther are... Kamui and Kotori. XD;; The latter would be kind of WTF but I see from this list that she's also the seiyuu for Nina/Anna in Monster, so I suppose it depends on what end of her range she's in. Also everyone watch it for Suwabe Junichi pls, or something.)

It is like Hellsing except we are no longer in England, and Caterina at least wear lip-stick. However, she does nothing for me like the way Integra did things *koffs*
Like I asid; Hellsing meets Trigun meets Equilibrium. I'm pretty sure I can get to like this series, but I /need/ more before I can decide.

I don't doubt you will like it, although it's only three episodes in at the moment and the best is yet to come. XD
