petroniaPosted what I wrote of Arcana to the GB comm. That is, I posted it last night, got up this morning and rewrote the two most recent "cards". ^^; Think it's pretty much settled, though.
Juubei's card is an intro-development-segue-envoi, the exact same structure as Kazuki's. Though they won't be side-by-side in the finished product. XD

Social like mad for more than a week now, since Cedric's going-away party at that Greek BYOB on Prince-Arthur (there are 7,923 Greek BYOBs on Prince-Arthur and I can't remember the name XD). Had sushi at Sakura on Monday, again with Ced and Wee, and gave Ced mix CDs for listening in Japan (basically cannibalised off my 30 Kisses Mix and Ishida Uryuu Ficpod - darn, that reminds me I have to post the tracklisting, was too lazy to transcribe it for Ced). Dinner with Justin on Wednesday, made baked turkey-and-cilantro meatballs adapted from a couple of recipes I saved off the flist. XD Turned out delicious, and not at all messy to clean up. Gundam Seed with Tania on Thursday, spent most of Friday sleeping and reading Mirage of Blaze, Sakura again with Dave and Wasim on Saturday (sea urchin sushi both times - my new favorite flavour!). We take each other out for our birthdays, but they weren't able to make my party, and it's been a month since. XD Karaoked for literally three hours afterward, at the newly renovated Cash Box / KTV100 on Saint-Catherine that's ten times better than either of the two other places in terms of selection and atmosphere, although they do gouge you on drinks. It was the first time I could sing jpop more recent than, like, 2000. =_= Predictably I do Chemistry better than Utada Hikaru, and Hirai Ken better than Tommy february6. It's boggling. I would've said "Love Or Lust" was way harder than "Je t'aime je t'aime", melody-wise; the one requires you to be George Michael, the other Kylie Minogue. But I just can't imitate Tommy's delivery.
Got belated presents. XD Amano Yoshitaka postcard set, Megatokyo #3, the first Full Metal Alchemist manga in Japanese. I'll, ahem, read it after I finish plodding through this Mirage of Blaze novel... It occurs to me that I never listed the gifts I got for my birthday this year. Much love. Lo gave me cookies, Chris got me a cute necklace. Erin got me the Scooter Girl graphic novel, along with mp3s of all Chynna Clugston-Major's "BGM songs" as a bonus. <3333 I really should upload said mix sometime, actually. Tania... Tania made me Naoe and Takaya dolls. XD;;; If you've seen the PoT or Peace Maker ones *points to icon*, they're like that but not chibi, i.e. about a foot tall and I think they have coat hangers in them. The presentation was pretty Spwecial. She gacked a cardboard box from her lab that worrisomely had a skull and crossbones printed on the side. Takaya was in this silk kimono thing and had his arms tied behind his back with a bit of gold filagree. I had to put pants on him a couple of days later. There's a bed set. There's a miniature bottle of vodka, or rather was, because I drank it. It all smells so nice I've been pondering using them as drawer sashets, but I need them to poke at when the books get too much.
I'm two-thirds of the way through Book 12. Am somehow less frustrated with the storyline now that the other shoe's dropped. XD I will summarize this arc when I'm done; hold me to it. Don't let me get away with writing gnomic free verse about ghost ships or posting polls re if Nobunaga did anything indecent to Ranmaru using Yuzuru's body.

XD And ghost ships because I'm rather intrigued by some of the ideas pertaining thereto in the book, which I have btw finished. Tonight. ^^;v AFAICT Nobunaga's fixation on Kagetora = "Making you cower before me is better than sex with women!" ...No seriously, I think he actually says this out loud. Rairyuu OTOH just needs to die, but I have a feeling he survives. XD
PuffUjiyasu The Magic Dragon: SHE SPEAKS THE TRUTH. Deus ex machina all over the place in this arc, but then the entire series is like that.Read til the end and then tell me if you don't feel sorry for Koutarou. XD Wrong time wrong place OMG. It's karmic retribution for pulling that baby duck trick on Murakami Kageyoshi, I swear.
