My prediction is that it will end just as badly as HnG. Then again, I work as always from the hypothesis that Ooba-sensei is Hotta-sensei's evil twin/split personality.
Ah, yes. I now am thinking that the series is going to be like twenty volumes, and it's going to end up sort of like those Ripley books (story about a psychopath who commits crimes and lives in a nice house in France)
I think you can make an argument that HikaGo was better planned. Like, stuff was well-broadcast as going to happen ahead of time (thus prolonging the reader's angst, true, but). I really think that Ooba's either not planning, or never quite learned the whole third act/first act gun thing.
(Which is why I quit the series ages ago, really. Just as well. Pluto's much, much, much better anyway. XD)
Kind of just threw out that title randomly. The only connection really is that it's a murder mystery where (well, okay, if you know your Tezuka manga) you already know who did it, but you're looking to see how it turns out in the end. And, well, it kind of replaced Death Note in my reading lineup. Although my reading lineup shrunk significantly, so....
Anyway, it retells a Tetsuwan Atom/Astroboy story from a different viewpoint. By the author of Monster, 20th Century Boys (and Yawara!, as much as that hurts my brain somehow). Targeted a little older, as evidenced by the general lack of furigana, but still.
