petroniaI needed the song because it's on the Naoe x Kagetora FST. Should've seen that one coming ahaha. Last night I all of a sudden decided it was done - funny how you just know when a story or mix CD is done, isn't it - and of course I had to post, because I'm incapable of really sitting on anything. Turned out I didn't have that Poe album on my work computer, through what I can only describe as gross oversight... Well. Anyway. I always post my FSTs a couple of days in advance to the flist, and it's nearly February. Mostly, though, I want other fans of the series to give this a spin. Download it, listen to it from beginning to end, tell me what you think. Not because the tracklisting is in any danger of changing at this point ^^;;; but because I'd like a consensus on how much explanation I should provide. I.e. I think it's obvious, but is it really?
Description: bedroom electronica to alt-pop to goth rock. Dark cool tonalities. Claustrophobic. If you're on a sugar high, this mix will get rid of it. Wordy, i.e. it's all about the lyrics. Nevertheless the ordering of the tracks is grounded more in the music than in narration/chronology. If you pay attention you will find recurring metaphorical imagery, no less. The quotes I put under each track are NOT why I chose the song. (Confused yet?)
