(More like "those other things, which for several reasons we won't mention".) Why do I construe shopping on Amazon as such a chore, for the love of bob? It's true, though. I'd rather go to a physical bookstore. At least then I can run my finger along real book spines while I wander around failing to find what I want and getting sidetracked by random shiny objects of tachiyomi.

Anyhow. Next batch of Mirage of Blaze novels ordered. I'll be done with book 9 way before it lands on my doorstep. Because I construe shopping on Amazon as a chore I procrastinate on the task, meaning that I can never time it well enough for a shipment to arrive as I'm finishing the last. Thus I ran myself up to book 14 this time around, as the idea of sitting around waiting for the postman post-Wadatsumi is... no, I've heard enough, gracias. Also bought a bunch of stuff because Kristin Told Me To. >_> You know Akizuki Koh wrote, like, pretty much everything in the universe? Her list took longer to wade through than Kuwabara Mizuna's. But if a single mind could come up with Fujimi Orchestra and Haginokouji Seiya-sama no Ran...

Speaking of book 9 my Yuzuru-like, teacher's-pet nature screams in protest at the realisation that Takaya is failing junior year on top of everything else. I know, I know, secret identity, better things to do with life, nobody cares (Ayako starts with "well, no one would be surprised if you failed your year, right?" and ends with "okay, um, how about we get Chiaki to hypnotize your teachers regarding your attendance record?"), but... so unfair! T_T

EDIT -- girl!Takaya ~= Oosaki Nana. And now I really will go die quietly in a corner.

*sigh* I felt the same about Takaya failing in school too. Sucks.

So you're ordering Akizuki Koh books too? I adore Fujimi and they are so much easier to read than Mirage...

There must be an illicit thrill from the POV of one of the Japanese high school girl readers, though, with all these adults who treat the concept of "school" like an amusing collective hallucination one goes along with if one has nothing better to do that day. XD;;

Akizuki Koh story manga, rather. Although there are books. But if I had time after Mirage I'd read my Murakami. ^^;

*laugh* That's true, it must be great to fantasize a world where school is really secondary (or tertiary...) when one is stuck in school.

Ah yes, Akizuki Koh has written the stories of an incredible number of manga, some of which I actually own. Amazingly prolific.

It's not Fujima per se, though? It's this Heian-era thing Kristin liked, manga version of Akizuki's books. XD
