Kathy Shower - Blaze (Image Album Version)

I've always wondered - well not really, but it's crossed my mind - why the Mirage of Blaze TV anime OP was called "Blaze 2002". It turns out it and some other anime OST tracks are re-takes of themes from the image albums, the first of which was released forever and a decade ago. If you were a longtime fan who'd bought all this schtuff I guess this is the music you'd've associated with the series to begin with, which is neat. Anyhow I uploaded this version because... because I like it 1,000,000 times better than the one that made it into the anime, which sounds like a half-arsed attempt at a Pat Benatar song.

This version sounds like a Pat Benatar song for reals.

That doesn't tell you all you need to know about me, but it's a step in the right direction.

(Here's another step: was able to connect this album to Boards of Canada in three degrees of separation. Ph33r my Google-fu.)
