I could be working on anything from Subrosa to something-for-[livejournal.com profile] canis_m's-birthday to the s3kkr1t project that's really only s3kkr1t because I don't want to jinx it, but apparently my mind has decided that it needs to iron out the one TezuFuji concept I never wrote down because I couldn't figure out how to turn the - what Tin calls "fields/paradigms of association" - into a "narrative". Still can't figure out, that is. x_x Maybe I should make a Tin-style note? (Have been utterly obsessed with the latter yes. XD;;)

TezuFuji Note #1 (plus random FST angst)

Associating a song with a person because one knows or suspects it speaks to him is not the same thing as associating a song with a person because it speaks about him to oneself.

Associating a book with a person because one knows it changed his life is not the same thing as associating a book with a person because it is a metaphor for his life.

Two fairytales about royalty with very similar titles:
1. The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
2. The Light Princess, by George MacDonald

Finished Mirage of Blaze 5.5. The awful pain stopped, yay! *orders next batch of books from Amazon*

(EDIT -- Ahaha, Amazon just spat out Migiwa's rec list on its sidebar. XD;;)

You know what would be sorta cool? Oda Nobunaga x Nikkai, except they would hafta look like grownup!Kaga and grownup!Tsutsui. Actually, it would be even cooler if Tsutsui were the Jesuit.

EDIT -- BTW, the explanation in the back of the French tankoubon (because of course they had to put an explanation, not like French kids learn any Japanese history) is that Akari is crossdressing because Nobunaga was bi. Yes, they actually wrote that in the explanation for kids. No, I can't follow the logic either.

According to Google, it's of Welsh origin, and means "son of John".

(Are the Oda the ones whose clan symbol was a rose?)

According to _Name Construction in Medieval Japan_, the Oda kanji used by Oda Nobunaga in his name means "small rice-paddy". The earliest written record of that name is in 1392.

I'm getting up early next Sunday morning to go play a trivia contest game thing with Ced and a bunch of his friends. Have been dragooned into making the fifth(?) member of the team. ^^;

The reason I DON'T post everything that runs through my head is because a lot of it actually resembles the following

You say this, but I warn you: fom the day they make a cerebral implant that can record and post fic ideas, you need to watch your window for ninjas.

Look, all I'm saying is, if HnG can be all about go that is actually a metaphor for gay pr0n, and in the meantime insist Honnouji Temple was all about go as well, then Nobunaga's jealousy of Mitsuhide's go skill0rz can.. you see where I'm going with this. It's not so much a fic idea as it is logical extrapolation.

(I finally noticed on my re-reading of said omake that Akari plays Ranmaru. SO WRONG IN SO MANY WAYS.)

Ah, you're reading HnG in the French as well. ;)

Now if only Tonkam would bring out a translation of Death Note -- wouldn't that be nice?

I actually read the whole thing in scanlation but am buying the French tankoubon, so my sister can read it and... because I like physical books. (And yes, Death Note! Hopefully it'll happen before I spend 100$-plus on ordering the Japanese ones. ^^;)
