Which amounts to a blogging hiatus in these parts. Sorry for not replying to comments, "conveniently forgetting" to give thanks for music and so forth. I'll probably sink below the surface again, because I have shiz to write/code that has to be done by December (so NaNoSchedule if not NaNo itself), but felt impelled to inform the Intarweb that eyeballing the wFLers* on my flist makes me think that there should be a music RPS version of [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. I would join just to see if I could get someone in the vast cold entropy-ridden universe to write Markus Acher/Erlend Øye.**

Yes, I broke a blogging hiatus to say that.

Fandom news: there is no fandom news. Am rewatching Slam Dunk with Tania. My love for the series is a light that never goes out, but no need to stop the presses. Gave up reading Mirage of Blaze briefly, for the same reason I stopped daily-LJing - a sudden and likely related failure to cope - but restarted with the second story in 5.5. It's about how Takaya and Yuzuru became friends in junior high. How bad could that possibly get, right, ahahahahaha. After the initial shock (who knew kids sniffed paint thinner and took meth in Japan?*** ...Actually when I said this to Aki she answered, "er, me", because it turned out she'd been researching it for fic. A prime example of the Flow at work) I realised I should just read it like one of those depressing movies about dysfunctional high schoolers I always watch at Fantasia. ^^;

* Beloved! Beloved wFLers! Don't get me wrong! Also it's not like I'm denying they're cute and make for very decorative icons.

** This is a joke. I don't actually want to see Markus Acher/Erlend Øye (although Erlend would be uke obviously). Rather it's obscurantist BL fangirl jargon that in this case should probably be read as something along the lines of "Expect an mp3 post today, and by the way I'm going to a Lali Puna gig Sunday night at the Sala Rossa."

*** And now that memory is slowly revving into gear I remember that Katou out of AS was taking some sort of chems all right, but last I read the series was a long time ago. ^^;

Sabina! It's so good to finally see a post from you. <3

And! re: * number one, don't make fun! Their cuteness is too much of a lure to the weak.

I'm not making fun. XD Hey, at least for once I don't have aesthetic objections to the RPS, as I so often do.

"wFLer?" When in these parts did one week become a "hiatus?" XD

Although, if there's pot in Japan, (the detective manga episode about the Christian pot-growing village of the dismembered mummies), then certainly it's unsurprising that people sniff paint thinner.

For "these parts" read "me". I don't say it counts a hiatus for anyone else, but I've acquired the habit of posting something longish every day and then getting into involved discussions in comment threads. ^^;

wFL = w-inds FLAME Lead fandom = jpop boybander RPS.

What detective manga is this? XD

Ah. I post about every other day or so, but I don't count "hiatus" until I start commenting. Well, now I'm not posting that much, but that's because I'm gearing up for something.

Kindachi Files, that is. The one where every case ends in this terribly angstful sob story for the murderer. I'm wondering how long it will take before they start repeating motivations.

Pot-growing village of the dismembered mummies? Who are Christian? But.... Wouldn't the whole being dead thing, would that have an effect on whether one can take the sacrements? I mean, Catholicism at least has a confession requirement, and while I'm not really up on my Lutheranism, I do know that my grandfather (grandmother?)'s old church had a confession both. Of course, that could just be architecture. Of course, maybe they're lapsed-Catholic dismembered mummies. That grow pot. And presumably kill people? I mean, why else would a detective come to the village. Pot-growing mummies of any religious affliation being, well... not enough to lure detectives, I should think.

Hmmm. I think they were protestant rather than Catholic. But it was the (rich) living people growing the pot, and they had mummies as family mascots, IIRC. Dismembered ones. The rest of the plots in the manga are similarly as involved. They ought to be fairly available used in Japan, if you want to read them (Kindachi).
