I have a lot of interests in the "Unusual" column, but that's semi-intentional: they're the only ones that are really useful when you're interest-surfing. Overly common ones are useless, and being the only one with an interest seems to me like missing the point. Incidentally I don't understand why I'm one of only two people to list "fandom meta", nor why I had to reword "mp3 blogs" five times in order to get other people with that interest.

Mmm, I find them nigh unusable.I've never found anything good through using them; I find new people by reading other people's friends lists.

I don't find people through them, I just like having my interests public for all to see. Then again, when I had a pitas page, I created a whole page just listing my interests and dislikes, etc. It doesn't say a lot about me, but I like having it? You know, it's like character profiles XD

Hmm, I wonder if LJ should have a dis-interest page. The things that bore you explain a lot about your personality also. XD
