Useless post
Aug. 26th, 2004 12:21 amThat is to say, go and download the Kings of Convenience song from off the top entry of t3h Fluxblog, all one of you who hasn't done it yet! (HINT THIS MEANS YOU CED)
Someday I'd like to go to a party - no, scratch that, someday I'd like to DJ a party at which a song like this would fill the dancefloor. Just for a change. It won't happen, mainly because I think Ced and possibly Talal are the only two people I know in La Vraie Vie Montréalaise who remotely grok this kind of music. And we're not living in the alternate universe in which the rest of Belle & Sebastian also sounds like "Electric Renaissance", more's the pity.

In other news, I'll take "embarrassing mental meanderings" for $500, Alex!
Answer: "...Hey, you know what they should do? They should do a hip-hop revival of those old Communist model operas!"
Question: Why should Sabina not be allowed to play Christina Milian's "Dip It Low" EVER AGAIN, let alone a dozen times in a row?
That goddamned...! Will someone more versed in musical theory and alternate scales explain to me how this song works? Is it a pipa?

Found this playlist in the 'amp. Since it's not mine I'm assuming it's sororial unit's, cue amusement:
Badly Drawn Boy - Camping Next to Water
Belle & Sebastian - Simple Things
Hawksley Workman - We Will Still Need a Song
The Darkness - Friday Night
Rufus Wainwright - Rebel Prince
Backstreet Boys - Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
George Michael - Kissing a Fool
I'll have to remember to ask her if "Rebel Prince" (and for that matter, the rest of this!?) has anything to do with that Richard the Lionheart movie script she's writing...
